Fall 2026 Community Cleanup — Fremont County
Adventure Acres Foundation is organizing a community cleanup in Cañon City on Saturday, November 21, bringing together volunteers to care for some of our community’s most visible shared spaces.
This cleanup will focus on Highway 50 and Main Street from 1st to 9th Street, removing litter and debris and helping these important community corridors look their best ahead of the holiday season and Small Business Saturday.
Adventure Acres Foundation will provide cleanup supplies, safety gear, water, and volunteer coordination, with support from the City of Cañon City and the Royal Gorge Chamber of Commerce to help make the cleanup possible.
We’ve already raised $310 toward cleanup supplies and are working to raise the remaining funds needed to equip our volunteers and build a reusable Community Cleanup Kit that can support future projects across Fremont County.
What success looks like:
- Community members and local businesses working side by side
- Highway 50 and Main Street visibly cleaner and cared for
- A cleaner, more welcoming Cañon City heading into the holiday season
- A repeatable model for future community cleanup efforts
- A reusable supply of cleanup equipment for future projects

Help Fund the Cleanup
$1,000 Community Cleanup Goal
We’ve already raised $310 toward cleanup supplies. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to fully equip volunteers for the November 21 cleanup and build a reusable Community Cleanup Kit for future projects across Fremont County.
Funds will help provide:
- High-visibility safety vests
- Trash grabbers
- Heavy-duty and disposable gloves
- Contractor trash bags
- Buckets for glass and other debris
- First aid and safety supplies
- Water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks for volunteers
- Reusable cleanup equipment for future events
The City of Cañon City is helping coordinate waste disposal and logistical support, allowing more of the funds raised to go directly toward volunteer equipment and supplies.
Monetary donations are preferred because they allow us to purchase what is most needed. Businesses and individuals who prefer to donate specific supplies can also support the project through our Amazon Wish List.
