Fremont County Citizen Science Project (Pilot)
The Fremont County Citizen Science Project is a student-driven initiative designed to document and better understand the biodiversity of Fremont County, Colorado.
Using the iNaturalist app, students and participants record observations of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms—building a living, community-powered dataset of the region’s ecosystems.
This project connects students directly to the land while contributing to real-world environmental data.
Project Goals

Funding for this project directly supports student participation and completion—ensuring that observations are not only collected, but meaningfully contributed to a growing, public biodiversity dataset.
